When Emily Hill and I wrote ‘Making Money on EBooks: Smart Promoting’ we wanted to give you a look at promotion from two different sides of the coin.
During the marketing of that book and the marketing and promotion of books for others I am increasingly convinced that it is very useful in the sense of cost-saving and time-effectiveness to know what might or might not be working for other writers and authors.
With the changes that have come to the world of publishing, writers have become increasingly responsible for the marketing and promotion of their books. These writers are no longer just authors but have had to also become team leaders. Authors may start as solitary travelers on the road to publication but as they continue their journey they gather a support team of editors, graphic designers, marketing and promoting professionals and assistants of all veins. If the author is prudent this team of experts will include other writers and authors.
